Within the Maritime Helicopter Program (MHP) In-Service Support (ISS) program, General Dynamics Mission Systems – Canada (GDMS-C) has designed, manufactured, delivered and now supports the Maritime Helicopter Training Suite (MHTS) located in the Fumerton Bing Training Centre (FBTC) at 12 Wing Shearwater, Nova Scotia. The MHTS is used to provide Pilot, Tactical Coordinator (TACCO) and Sensor Operator (SENSO) personnel with the skills required to successfully perform all missions required of the Maritime Helicopter (MH). The MHTS is also used to provide Maintenance Personnel the required knowledge and skills to maintain the MH. The role of the MHTS Technologist is to maintain the MHTS equipment, resolve outstanding and newly discovered technical issues and conduct upgrades to the training systems, as required. The Training Support Services team is currently looking for an intermediate level IT Technologist to provide long-term system support for the MHTS at the FBTC. Identified as an essential role, while operating principally from the FBTC, the individual will occasionally work from the GDMS-C Halifax facility located in nearby Dartmouth. We have a number of measures in-place for on-site working, as our first and foremost priority remains the health and safety of our colleagues. The candidate must have relevant experience using computers, server equipment, as well as electronic systems similar to those comprising the MHTS. The candidate must be highly motivated and enthusiastic and preferably have experience with installation, test and troubleshooting of computer, network and electronic systems. The candidate will report to the MHTS Maintenance Lead or Shift Supervisor with the position located in 12 Wing Shearwater, NS.
This position requires a Verification and Validation Systems Engineer with broad system knowledge and good background in underwater acoustics and submarine detection. Experience in the Airborne or Naval ASW domain, as well as Acoustic analysis and Post Mission analysis is highly desirable. Additional experience in software engineering, hardware engineering, and systems engineering would be beneficial.
This role will be a combination of working remotely and onsite at our Ottawa office. We have a number of measures in place for onsite working – our top priority remains the health and safety of our colleagues.

- Under supervision, provides support services for line and or functional teams.

- Primary duty is to support the GD IT Service desk/call centre, including: identification and execution of established support scripts, creation and verification of support scripts, classification of user-requests, remote login to install software and performing known fixes.
- Logging in GD Canada’s service request management system to update Service requests.
- Other duties include basic Workspace Services tasks such as PC imaging, preparation of retired IT assets for destruction/recycling, IT asset tracking/storage/verification/reconciliation, report running, conference room IT asset verification and other related tasks.

GDMS-C is seeking an experience Aircraft Mechanics who would join the Remotely Piloted Airborne Systems Centre of Excellence in Sherbrooke. You will be responsible for carrying out day to day maintenance operation on different type of RPAS. You will define process and technics that will help the delivery of product in various locations worldwide to customer. The RPAS maintainer will work in an environment over extended periods of time as part of a team of maintainers, RPAS operator and military personnel.
