We are currently growing our Test Team in Ottawa. In this role you will be working closely with our Operations Test Engineering Specialists to support the production of various product lines. You will have the opportunity to develop Hardware and Software skills in order to support the full range of production test responsibilities including
- Product Test Strategy and Planning: The definition of the Production Test flow and ESS regime, which meets the requirements of: production volume and rate, customer quality requirements, technology requirements and program cost and delivery targets.
- Test Design: Test Equipment Procurement, Test Equipment and methods development, Test Fixture design, Test Equipment commissioning and acceptance, together with associated Test documentation such as test procedures and TE support documentation.
- Technical Support: Provide leadership in the resolution of Test Process, Test Equipment and Product performance issues adversely impacting Quality, Cost or Delivery targets.
- Training: Test Engineering will provide the necessary technical training to Production personnel in the operation of Test Equipment and associated procedures. In addition, training will also be provided in product specific fault diagnostics.
General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada has a new opportunity for a Subcontracts Program Manager (SPM) to support defense acquisition and in-service support contracts that have either been awarded or are in the pre-contract award phase. The Subcontract Program Manager reports to the Senior Director of Supply Chain and works closely with Capture Managers during the pre-contract pursuit phase and with Program Manager during the post contract award phase.
During the pre-contract award phase the SPM will be responsible for supporting the program Capture team with the development of Request For Proposals (RFPs) and model subcontracts. Accountable to the specific Capture Manager, the SPM will develop program level relationships with selected suppliers and be responsible for establishing all subcontract work documentation needed to develop, negotiate and close subcontract agreements. Following award of contracts, the SPM will be accountable to the specific Program Manager for managing the performance of subcontractors to ensure the successful delivery of the subcontracted scope in accordance with the terms and conditions of the established contract.
