The Development Services Team has an opportunity for a junior level team member. The Development Services group is a unique group within the Engineering Support Services. The prospective employee will report to the Development Services manager and will be supporting the engineering community in a wide variety of work. This work will include but not limited to server support, application support, networking support, software builds and documentation. The successful applicant will be expected to perform duties in a variety of different capacities.
This role will be a combination of working remotely and onsite at our Calgary office. We have a number of measures in place for onsite working – our top priority remains the health and safety of our colleagues
General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada is seeking a Junior/Intermediate System Engineering Analyst, to join our inclusive and established team. This full-time Systems Engineering role is based in Calgary, AB, Canada. This opportunity will be a Hyrbid role with a combination of working remotely and onsite.
The broad spectrum of work in Land & Joint Solutions requires an equally broad spectrum of skills from hardware, software & systems engineers as well as mathematicians, physicists, and other specialties. We work not only in the direct development and production of military products, but also in the life-cycle support. We work directly with our clients and participate in field exercises to gather information on the real needs of our customers.
Within the Maritime Helicopter Program (MHP) In-Service Support (ISS) program, General Dynamics Mission Systems – Canada (GDMS-C) has designed, manufactured, delivered and now supports the Maritime Helicopter Training Suite (MHTS) located in the Fumerton Bing Training Centre (FBTC) at 12 Wing Shearwater, Nova Scotia. The MHTS is used to provide Pilot, Tactical Coordinator (TACCO) and Sensor Operator (SENSO) personnel with the skills required to successfully perform all missions required of the Maritime Helicopter (MH). The MHTS is also used to provide Maintenance Personnel the required knowledge and skills to maintain the MH. The role of the MHTS Technologist is to maintain the MHTS equipment, resolve outstanding and newly discovered technical issues and conduct upgrades to the training systems, as required. The Training Support Services team is currently looking for an intermediate level IT Technologist to provide long-term system support for the MHTS at the FBTC. Identified as an essential role, while operating principally from the FBTC, the individual will occasionally work from the GDMS-C Halifax facility located in nearby Dartmouth. We have a number of measures in-place for on-site working, as our first and foremost priority remains the health and safety of our colleagues. The candidate must have relevant experience using computers, server equipment, as well as electronic systems similar to those comprising the MHTS. The candidate must be highly motivated and enthusiastic and preferably have experience with installation, test and troubleshooting of computer, network and electronic systems. The candidate will report to the MHTS Maintenance Lead or Shift Supervisor with the position located in 12 Wing Shearwater, NS.
