Job Description

We are currently growing our Research and Development team and are looking for motivated technical professionals to influence, define, and develop the architecture of a GDMS Cyber Fabric concept. This work will be used to build and showcase GDMS Cyber capability as we continue identify and pursue defence and national security opportunities in Cyber within Canada and abroad. 

 

Typical Duties:

  • Work closely with internal and external engineering teams, business development, target customers and industry leaders to identify key capabilities for the GDMS Cyber Fabric.
  • Develop a demonstrator integration platform in support of continued development and integration of the Cyber Fabric capability sets
  • Identify, deploy and configure commercial of the shelf products onto the demonstrator integration platform and showcase the ability to execute key use cases within the Cyber domain
  • You will be expected  to communicate/collaborate with commercial industry leaders to determine the applicability of their product capability within the Cyber Fabric solution
  • Document the development of system engineering artefacts such as capability descriptions, scope statements, concept of operations and operational use cases based on the vision of the Cyber Fabric.
  • Develop product knowledge of Cyber Fabric technologies in order to advise from a high level system view or from a more detailed product level
  • Contribute to a market analysis effort to better understand the competitive landscape associated with military and national security cyber defence offerings
  • You will work as part of an engineering team that has adopted an Agile framework that will continually define, prioritize, and execute tasks

Basic Qualifications

Education & Experience 

  • A University degree or equivalent in Engineering, Applied Science or Computer Science
  • Previous experience or substantial exposure to Systems Integration is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated initiative and strong communications skills in order to build relationships 
  • Experience/comfortable in presenting at meetings consisting of internal stakeholders, industry partners, and customer stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet commitments and deliver high quality work products.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment. Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Assets to have but not required:

  • Familiarity in Cyber Security and Cyber Defense concepts and capabilities
  • Knowledgeable with the deployment and configuration of SPLUNK
  • Familiarity with Cloud platforms and concepts
  • Experience in deploying and configuring networking concepts and technologies
  • Knowledgeable in virtualization platforms like VMWare
