General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada currently has a requirement for a Senior-Level Systems Engineer to support Air and Naval Radar projects. Our Canadian team's responsibilities in these activities typically include selection, system design, integration, test and acceptance of the Radar & IFF subsystems, and the design, integration, test of the corresponding mission system operator interface for the system, and the design and integration of these systems on military aircraft.There is an immediate requirement for a Senior Level Systems Engineer who is a strong team player with initiative and dedication.The individual will be expected to achieve a working knowledge of the candidate Radar & IFF systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Selection, specification and proposal work relating to radars
  • Conceiving, defining, specification, development, integration and test of ongoing system upgrades
  • Development and maintenance of design documentation
  • Liaison with customers through support to the Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) as required;
  • Support to ongoing programs development and review of vendor hardware and software documentation
  • Laboratory and flight test of systems and the raising of problem reports and support to GDMS-C and vendor teams in resolving them
  • Development, maintenance and test of Radar Simulators
  • Support to completing Proof of Compliance of products

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science, or applicable technical or scientific discipline.
  • Minimum five years’ experience in Radar, IFF, and Systems engineering,
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
  • The ability to work within a small team is essential.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment. Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
