  • Project/Program Overview

    The Computer and Displays products team requires a keen and energetic Project Engineer to assist in management of the technical and programmatic aspects of various displays development and production programs.  Working alongside the Program Manager and Product Architect, the Project Engineer’s primary responsibility will be to support customer demands for legacy Single Board Computer and Display products, and the current SD8000 series of smart displays.  The Project Engineer role will often involve coordinating a multidisciplinary team to execute assigned projects and tasks to customer satisfaction, while adhering to program quality standards, budget, and schedule.


    • Interfaces with departments including: Supply Chain, Component Engineering, Contracts, Estimating, and Manufacturing and Operations for the production and support of Computing and Displays' products.
    • Communicating and interfacing with customers, and responding to queries and Request for Quotations.
    • Leading quotation requests (QRs) and preparing Basis of Estimate, analyzing inputs for material and labour, and presenting to management.
    • Provide technical assistance and guidance to Manufacturing and Operations and Supply Chain Management in the build and repair of legacy display and computing products.
    • Process and product improvements. Identifies opportunities to improve products and services and drive those changes.
    • Staying abreast and reporting on component obsolescence issues and material constraints effecting product builds.
    • Reviewing project performance on a monthly basis, analyzing risks (technical, cost, schedule), and initiating corrective action when required
    • Deliver project objectives that meet requirements, to schedule, and on budget.
    • Supporting the Program Manager in the development and maintenance of business plans.


    • The ideal candidate will have experience in hardware engineering and display technology, manufacturing engineering, and project management. 
    • Experience in hardware troubleshooting, along with a good knowledge of production processes and military standards would be an asset.
    • Strong communication skills.
    • Skilled and coordination and organizational.
    • Collaborative.
    • Courteous with customers and colleagues.
    • Good presentation skills.
    • Occasional travel.


    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline.


    Minimum 10 year consecutive residence in Canada – for Canadian Secret Security Clearance
    Applicants will be required to obtain/hold a valid and current Canadian security clearance to gain access to the classified spaces, information and equipment in order to perform the work associated with this position.
