    Under the direction of the Platform Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will hold a working level integration role, assisting the engineering manager with the definition, execution and reporting on all integration and qualification work.The successful candidate will lead all vehicle platform related System Integration and Qualification activities for the program as well as provide senior level leadership and guidance to the team in engineering discipline, overall technical awareness, appropriate methods and process.



    The duties of the System Integration Engineer will include:

    • Define, develop and document of detailed system integration test plans and qualification test plans in accordance with standard company processes
    •  Define the test scope and objectives, configuration and equipment, facilities, or personnel as necessary to ensure adequate test coverage.
    • Lead and execute tests in accordance with the defined test plans and procedures and the company system integration practices, to ensure high quality and on-time deliverables
    • Provide technical engineering knowledge, administrative guidance and mentorship to staff in the definition and development of detailed test procedures and/or automated scripts required for product, platform, system or SoS integration and qualification, in accordance with the design documents, specifications, and requirements, including analysis and preliminary research to assess the tools and configurations required to adequately test the applicable functions.
    • Assist Project Engineering and Management Leads with planning, organizing and scheduling tasks - includes resource needs, risk identification, progress tracking and supporting overall groups schedule/goals.
    • Define and develop estimates, schedules, resource loading to Task Leads in making priority work decisions and resource loading within and across all projects and programs.
    • Prepare and/or review reports and supporting documentation to demonstrate progress, test measures and results and to communicate those as required.
    • Communicate with engineering disciplines, development, support services and customer teams, regularly.
    • Communicate roles and responsibilities, conduct V&V team meetings, setting expectations, providing performance feedback, providing direction on daily priorities, where required.
    • Participate in peer reviews of System Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Specialty Engineering and Development documents and artifacts to provide integration-applicable and qualification-applicable feedback.
    • Ability deal with a highly educated multi-disciplinary team in a dynamic environment.
    • Analyze and interpret data – including preliminary research into technical functionality, configuration, tools; define data for input and gathering; assess applicability and validity of the data gathered; make recommendations and provide feedback on system behavior to all interested parties.
    • All other duties as required


    • Minimum eight years experience with system integration activities including planning and procedure writing
    • Demonstrated initiative
    • Strong communications abilities, both written and verbal
    • Proven leadership capabilities
    • Familiarity with the principles of tactical communication systems and/or operations, an asset


    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics or related technical/engineering degree and hold a P. Eng designation

    Minimum 10 year consecutive residence in Canada – for Canadian Secret Security Clearance
    Applicants will be required to obtain/hold a valid and current Canadian security clearance to gain access to the classified spaces, information and equipment in order to perform the work associated with this position.
