    The Logistics and Warehouse Manager is responsible for ensuring that General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada’s supply of materials and services, supports the companies compliance requirements as well as quality, delivery, and cost targets. Working closely with the scheduling, production groups, contracts and trade compliance, the Supply Chain Manager, Logistics and Warehouse strives to support these internal customer’s needs, but also creates a strategic differentiator for the company.

    • Leading a team of Material Handlers, Customs & Traffic Coordinators and Shippers to provide materials and logistics services
    • Provide feedback and guidance back to internal customers to influence operational excellent and cost optimization
    • Supporting bids and pursuits activities by facilitating logistics services quotes and assessing compliance to customer logistics requirements
    • Collaborating with Contracts and Quality to ensure shipments are executed with compliance and in accordance to customer expectations
    • Collaborating with Contracts, Planning and Project Teams to manage customer owned inventory
    • Working closely with Human Resources to create and execute staff development plans
    • Supporting Finance in the resolution of Accounts Payable’s invoicing via IIRs
    • Developing and maintaining SCM processes and policies that maximizes the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization
    • Interfacing with a geographically diverse team of Buyers to ensure alignment
    • Building effective working relationships with Operations and Contracts management, internal customers, external customers, and major suppliers.
    • Delivering stated goals and objectives per the Operations Strategic Plan, with regular progress reports and communications of emerging risks
    • Through process, tools, protocol and surveillance assure inventory accuracy
    • Leads the Teams to minimize allocated storage space
    • Works with stakeholders to disposition inactive inventory
    • Collaboration with Legal to ensure Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) requirements are met
    • Ensures regular reviews of inventory are completed
    • Responsible for clearly articulating issues and possible solutions.
    • Take leadership roles in resolving issues to closure.
    • Responsible identifying risks, assess impact, and develop mitigation strategies.
    • To be able to conceptualize complex issues and translate them to executable steps for quick resolution.
    • To be able to anticipate customer needs in advance and translate them into actions.
    • To be able to defuse difficult situations.


    • 5 year's experience in an Operations environment
    • Experience with inventory and logistics is considered an advantage


    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field

    Minimum 10 year consecutive residence in Canada – for Canadian Secret Security Clearance
    Applicants will be required to obtain/hold a valid and current Canadian security clearance to gain access to the classified spaces, information and equipment in order to perform the work associated with this position.
