  • Project/Program Overview

    This position is for the Aurora Block IV program which is upgrading the Canadian Air Force’s CP-140 Aurora aircraft. These intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance aircraft are being equipped with improved sensors, communication devices, and defensive capabilities.


    The responsibilities and range of activities will vary, but in general will include:

    • Perform System requirements analysis and development
    • Prepare, review, and execute written test plans and test procedures 
    • Identify system defects, resolve issues, and verify solutions have been correctly implemented 
    • Perform System integration activities in a lab environment
    • Provide technical support during high level integration and qualification testing
    • Perform Software and equipment configuration and maintenance in a lab environment
    • Design aspects of a system to manage Virtual Machines and aircraft data


    Enrolled in a full time engineering program from an accredited university.

    Assets include:

    • Familiarity with Linux operating systems
    • Knowledge of system engineering workflow and life cycle
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
    • Ability to take complex technical concepts and describe in a simple, concise manner


    Minimum 10 year consecutive residence in Canada – for Canadian Secret Security Clearance
    Applicants will be required to obtain/hold a valid and current Canadian security clearance to gain access to the classified spaces, information and equipment in order to perform the work associated with this position.
