As part of the Integrated Mission System (IMS) Verification and Validation Team, Test Engineers will carry out various duties including supporting the system design and software development effort, and testing the Mission Data Management System (MDMS) integration with its external mission systems, over a number of different interfaces.
The selected candidate(s) will work closely with a team of highly skilled professionals in a collaborative environment. High team participation and cooperation is essential, as the role involves liaising with systems designers, software developers and integration and test engineers from other areas within MHP. Communication skills are also critical as this is a customer-facing role and successful demonstration of the capabilities of the IMS to the end customer is essential.
•Develops plans for system integration and formal system test.
•Produces system test descriptions.
•Performs traceability of system requirements to functional, hardware and software tests.
•Reports to the project engineer on all aspect of system integration and formal test.
•Prepares formal test reports.
•Provides support for proposal development by proposing requirements and design for new features.
• Good verbal and written communication.
• Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills.
• Experience with software and hardware engineering processes and tools.
• Enthusiastic contributor, willingness to learn new skills and takes on ownership of work.
• Strong interpersonal and managerial skills, whether working as a self-motivated individual, a team member or leader.
• Broad knowledge of the System development process and lifecycles.
• Broad knowledge of the Requirements definition and management.
• Candidates must possess either a science, engineering degree or equivalent operational experience as a subject matter expert.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Minimum 10 year consecutive residence in Canada – for Canadian Secret Security Clearance
