General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada currently has a new opportunity for a Junior Systems Engineer within our Airborne Systems Business Area. As part of the Aurora Ground Facilities team, you will be working on software/system integration, testing and debugging. We are looking for a dynamic junior engineer who enjoys working in a fast paced team environment, as well as working closely with our customer in order to provide a superior client experience.
The Ground Facilities segment encompasses the development, installation, integration and maintenance of the Ground Facilities required to support in-service operation of the CP-140 aircraft. The main components of the Ground Facilities are the Operational Mission Simulator (OMS) and the Procedures Crew Trainer (PCT).The purpose of the OMS and the PCT is to allow individual crew members to learn how to use mission systems (sensors, weapons and communication) and allow part and complete crews to train as a team to accomplish specific mission tasks. They provide the CP-140 mission crew with the training facilities to learn, practice and enhance those skills, knowledge and attitudes that create an effective mission team. The OMS and PCT are installed across Canada at multiple sites and will require travel. Minimum 10 year consecutive residence in Canada – for Canadian Secret Security Clearance
