General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada is staffing Firmware Engineers from junior to senior level for award of a new contract to deliver a world class Tactical Communication and Information System (TacCIS) to a new customer. Our Canadian team will be partnered to deploy a vehicle installed with field-proven TacCIS architecture and system components which is cost effective, modular and scalable to support different vehicle variant roles.The vehicle TacCIS provides the vehicle crew with intercom and radio voice services and is capable of transmitting high-speed Position Awareness (PA), Command & Control (C2) and sensor data on the move as a component of a larger Battalion-level TacCIS.
The project will involve participation from System Design, Software and Platform Design, System Integration, and System Validation domain stakeholders. The project will be a multi-site development with activities spanning groups across General Dynamics Mission Systems-International.The firmware development team will be primarily focused on evolving and customizing existing Ethernet Local Area Network domain firmware to be applied to the customer requirements.
